MONTESSORI MEDITATION- MEDITATION SPACE

This garden was requested by a private Montessori school in Hudson, Ohio. It had to conform to a restricted space between the old school building and the new architectural extension.

The garden had to be functional and offer a quiet place for children to play and learn about peace in world cultures. The low budget presented a challenge: The plants had to be carefully selected for extreme temperatures and the raking garden had to be large enough for children to participate in the task of raking. Two stone benches have been added and the children are working on including bonsai trees.
